Automation is Power

From self-checkouts to chatbots, automation is changing our world. While we tried to resist this cold, impersonal human replacement, we have quickly learned that there are benefits to streamlining certain tasks. Issues with worker shortages, human error, and lack of time can be mitigated with AI powered automation.

Clearly there is a worker shortage affecting our world. With automation, a single custom written code script can do the work of hundreds of man hours. In the tech world, that means a security update can be sent out and installed on hundreds of devices instantly instead of sending a person around to type in the update code to each individual appliance. This not only saves time, but it also saves resources. With automation, employees spend less time on menial tasks which gives them more time to develop and design the network.

Even the best engineers suffer from human error. We simply cannot expect a human being to consistently type in thousands of lines of code at all hours of the night and not make a single typo. Automation is our guardian angel, making sure we don’t miss anything. Automation protects us from embarrassing mistakes and gives us a sense of relief. No one is perfect, but automation is.

In recent years, employees have needed more flexible scheduling. Whether people need time off to care for themselves or loved one or to focus on important life events, we know that giving employees the freedom to plan their workday is important. But automation doesn’t need time off. When we set a script to monitor for security threats 24-7, your network is truly being monitored nonstop. And when a security threat is detected, automation reacts instantly. Automation can even be designed to stop that threat before it allows the threat to penetrate the network. Lack of time is our biggest threat in life, and automation is our best tool to give use the time we have more efficiently.

Humans are meant to be social creatures and we like to interact with others. Automation allows us to spend more time on the things that matter to us personally. We can use our big thinking brains to solve problems of the future instead of wasting effort on tedious tasks. With automation, we have more time to collaborate with others, spend time with family, and spend less energy worrying about mistakes. Automation is a tool we need to welcome in our lives.
